Mayor, City Manager deliver State of the City at chamber luncheon

Boerne Mayor Frank Ritchie and City Manager Ben Thatcher gave the annual State of the City address Oct. 31, hosted by the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce.

The luncheon is held each fall with attendees from the local business community and other governmental agencies.

Ritchie and Thatcher spoke for 40 minutes about how the City of Boerne is a values-driven organization focused on the tenets of Fiscal Excellence, Community Charm, Environmental Responsibility, and Safety and Security.

The presentation featured feedback from the City’s citizen surveys, which are conducted every two years. The latest one was conducted in the early 2023 and the next one is scheduled for later this year or early 2025.

The pair spoke about how the City takes that feedback and incorporates it into workplans and budgets for each fiscal year.
