Boerne Utilities customers with trash and recycling service provided by WM will experience some changes to their normal collection schedule during the upcoming holiday season.
Collections will be delayed by one day for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. See the schedule below for details.
Thanksgiving
There will be no collections on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 27.
If your regular collection day is Thursday, your collection day will be moved to Friday, Nov. 28.
If your regular collection day is Friday, your collection day will be moved to Saturday, Nov. 29.
City Closures for Thanksgiving
Boerne City Hall, including Boerne Utilities, will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Christmas
There will be no collections on Christmas Day, Thursday Dec. 25.
If your regular collection day is Thursday, your collection day will be moved to Friday, Dec. 26.
If your regular collection day is Friday, your collection day will be moved to Saturday, Dec. 27.
City Closures for Christmas
Boerne City Hall, including Boerne Utilities, will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday.
New Year’s Day
There will be no collections on New Year’s Day, Thursday, Jan. 1.
If your regular collection day is Thursday, your collection day will be moved to Friday, Jan. 2.
If your regular collection day is Friday, your collection day will be moved to Saturday, Jan. 3.
City Closures for New Year’s Day
Boerne City Hall, including Boerne Utilities, will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1 for the New Year’s Day holiday.
Collection Days to Change in 2026
The City of Boerne is preparing an update to its residential garbage and recycling collection schedule set to take effect after the new year. This is a separate change not related to the holiday changes outlined above.
Starting January 5, 2026, garbage and recycling collections will move to the same day.
