Holiday cheer brought an impressive 119,000 revelers to Boerne’s downtown this season, as the City’s signature events showcased its festive charm and boosted local businesses.
From the bustling streets of Dickens on Main to the family friendly Kinder Fest, each event highlighted the community’s unique blend of tradition and hospitality.
“Boerne is a magical place during the holidays,” City Manager Ben Thatcher said. “These events not only bring our community together but also showcase the heart and soul of Boerne to visitors from across the state and beyond. The economic benefits to our small businesses are immense, and we’re already looking forward to next year.”
The celebrations began the weekend after Thanksgiving with Dickens on Main, a two-day event inspired by Victorian England. Featuring Christmas markets and live entertainment, the event drew 48,500 attendees, marking it as one of the most successful in its history. Visitors browsed unique holiday gifts, artisanal crafts, and specialty food items from local vendors and shop owners.

The following weekend, Boerne embraced its German roots with Weihnachts Weekend, which attracted 9,600 attendees. The highlight of this weekend is always the Weihnachts Parade featuring more than 100 illuminated floats making their way down Main Street on Saturday night.

These events are always a huge draw for Boerne, bringing thousands of patrons through the Hill Country Mile with stops at locally owned shops, restaurants, and hotels.
As the lights dim on another festive season, Boerne’s local businesses and residents reflect on a season of joy, unity, and prosperity, eagerly anticipating what the next holiday season will bring.
