The City of Boerne’s new online permitting software aims to deliver a more user-friendly system that will simplify the permit application and tracking process, making it faster, clearer, and more accessible.
The new platform, My Government Online, launches Monday, July 14 for use by residents and contractors.
All active contractors have already been added to the MGO system; however, you will need to create an account and link your license to begin using the platform. A user guide is available on the City’s website to help you:
- Create your MGO account
- Link your license
- Apply for permits through the new system
All current permits already submitted will continue to be processed through the City’s existing software, SmartGov, until they are issued.

Training for residents on the new platform will be held at a later time. For questions about the new platform, call (830) 248-1501 or email Planning.
