Weihnachts Weekend | Dec. 5 & 6
December 5 and 6 is Weihnachts Weekend in Boerne, featuring a Wassail Walk and Caroling Contest on Friday and the annual Weihnachts Parade on Saturday at 6 p.m. as more than 100 lighted floats make their way down beautiful Main Street.
Bring a chair if you’d like to sit along the parade route or enjoy strolling up and down the Hill Country Mile all evening. Our shops, breweries, bistros and more will be open late, with plenty of opportunities to grab a drink, sweet treat or snack.
Parade Livestream
Can’t make it out to the parade on Saturday? No worries, you can stream at home on the GVTC YouTube channel.

Street Closures
Main Street will be closed from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 6 for the Weihnachts Parade and downtown shopping.
Vehicles parked on Main Street between River Road and Blanco Road after 2 p.m. on Saturday will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Detours
Drivers on the north side of downtown will be directed to use Adler Road to Plant Street to reach Blanco Road.
This route is slightly different from the normal detour due to construction on a portion of Adler Road. It avoids the area most affected by construction.
No other holiday closures on Main Street are planned.
Kinder Fest | Dec. 12 – 14
The celebration continues one more weekend, December 12-14, with Kinder Fest, which includes a Cookie Crawl, Santa Scavenger Hunt, and the Cowboy Christmas Market in Main Plaza, a perfect weekend for a more relaxed holiday vibe.
On this child-friendly weekend, everyone is encouraged to show off their ugly Christmas sweaters, silly Christmas pajamas, and Whoville hairdos.

Dickens on Main | Nov. 28 & 29
The lights will be glowing and the snow will be blowing as Boerne’s Hill Country Mile transforms into a vintage Christmas wonderland for Dickens on Main this Thanksgiving Weekend. Complete with four “villages” filled with unique treats, kids’ activities, and an exciting entertainment lineup, there’s something sure to delight the whole family.
The annual Dickens on Main festival will be held Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29, and will feature all the favorites to keep the tradition going strong, along with some updated attractions.
New this year is a specially tailored version of the Nutcracker on stage in North Pole Village, performed by the Greater San Antonio Academy of Ballet each afternoon of Dickens. And back by popular demand is the ice slide, a 22-foot snowy sledding delight for children, which will be in Tiny Tim Village.
As always, SNOW along Main Street is in the forecast, while ice sculpting shows, live music, theatrical performances, kids’ crafts, and more are sure to entertain revelers of all ages.
Food trucks and unique vendors of all types will be spread throughout the event, and you’ll be surprised and delighted as street performers entertain along Main Street.
The holiday season is officially ushered in with live caroling alongside the brass ensemble Castle Brass just before the tree lighting at North Pole Village Friday night at 6 p.m. Revelers are encouraged to spend the day on the Hill Country Mile shopping and dining as early as 10 a.m., then strolling Main Street as entertainment and visits with Santa delight later in the day and into the night.
