Flood debris, brush drop-off at Northrup Park

Boerne Utilities customers and City of Boerne residents can drop off flood debris at Northrup Park starting Tuesday, July 21 at noon as recovery from last week’s flooding continues.

Residents affected may bring flood-damaged materials from their homes and businesses for disposal at no cost.

The City is contracting with its trash collector, WM, to provide this service. It is available exclusively to Boerne Utilities customers and City residents impacted by the flooding.

To use the drop-off site, residents must present both of the following:

  • Valid photo identification
  • Recent Boerne Utilities bill

City staff will be on site to verify eligibility and direct you to the appropriate disposal area. Please plan to unload your own debris, as on-site personnel will not be able to assist with lifting or loading materials into the containers.

Northrup Park (37550 IH 10 West) will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during debris collection operations. Access to the park will be limited to those hours while the temporary collection site is in operation.

The site will be open Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The last day of collection will be Friday, July 31, 2026.

Mayor Frank Ritchie said the temporary drop-off site is one way the City is helping residents and utility customers begin the recovery process as quickly as possible.

“Recovering from a flood can be overwhelming, and we want to remove as many obstacles as possible for our residents,” Ritchie said. “Providing this service at no cost allows families and businesses to focus on cleaning up and moving forward.”

The City is also asking residents to utilize their regular August residential bulky item collection through WM for large appliances and furniture.

Residents can monitor the City’s website and social media channels for updates regarding flood recovery and additional community resources.

Accepted Materials

Accepted materials include most flood-related debris, such as damaged fencing, flooring material, sheetrock, brush, etc.
